The ability to understand basic Japanese

The JLPT N4 is the second level of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, and covers about 150 new Kanji. We will help you learn how to read all JLPT N4 Kanji and help you practice reading Japanese and learning the JLPT N4 vocabulary. The N4 covers about 50 different grammar forms. At this level, you will have to learn over 150 new verbs that are absolutely essential at this beginner Japanese level test.

Reading

You should be able to read and understand passages on familiar daily topics written in basic vocabulary and kanji. You should be able to get around simple signs and descriptions.

Listening

You should be able to listen and comprehend conversations encountered in day-to-day life and generally follow their contents, if they are spoken slowly.
